Your Roofline, Part by Part
Peeling paint, soft timber or overflowing gutters? We will survey your roofline for free and quote for the work.
A Roofline That Looks After Itself
Your roofline is the band of boards and guttering where the roof meets the walls. It carries the weight of the gutters, closes off the eaves and keeps rain away from the brickwork and roof timbers. Painted timber does that job well when it is new, but Scottish weather soon has it flaking, swelling and rotting.
uPVC does not rot, warp or flake, and it never needs painting. It is available in white and a range of colours and finishes, so it can be matched to your windows and doors.
- Signs it is time: flaking paint, soft or split timber
- Gutters that sag, drip at the joints or overflow
- Birds or wasps getting into the eaves

Why Choose Us for Your Roofline
Your roofline supports the bottom edge of the roof, so we look at the roof edge as part of the survey, not just the boards.
Fascias, soffits, guttering and downpipes replaced together, so everything matches and fits.
You pay when the work is finished and you are happy with it.
We measure up, check the condition of the roof edge and give you a written quote.
uPVC Roofline Replacement in Perth
uPVC Fascias
The fascia is the board that runs along the edge of the roof, beneath the tiles. It supports the last row of tiles and holds the weight of your guttering, so when timber fascias rot the gutters start to sag and the roof edge suffers.
We replace them with uPVC fascia boards that will not rot or need repainting.

uPVC Soffits
The soffit sits beneath the fascia and closes off the eaves. It keeps moisture, birds and insects out of the roof structure. On properties that need roof ventilation, vented soffits let air circulate through the roof space, which helps prevent damp and condensation.
uPVC soffits come solid or vented and need no maintenance once fitted.

Guttering and Downpipes
Guttering carries rainwater off the roof and away from your walls. When it leaks, sags or overflows, water runs down the brickwork or render, which leads to damp, staining and damage over time.
We fit modern uPVC guttering and downpipes in a style to suit your home, including deep flow guttering where a roof sheds a lot of water.

Roofline Renewed With Your New Roof
If you are having your roof replaced, it is the ideal time to renew the roofline, because the scaffolding is already up. On recent roof replacements we have fitted new uPVC deep flow guttering alongside the new roof, finished with dry verge and dry ridge systems.

How We Replace Your Roofline
We look at your existing roofline and roof edge and help you choose the uPVC products and colours that suit your home.
You get a clear, no-obligation quote that sets out the work, with no deposit to pay.
The old boards and guttering come down and the new uPVC roofline goes up, with minimal disruption to your home.
We check the finished roofline and guttering and walk you round the work.

uPVC Roofline Questions
How much do new fascias, soffits and guttering cost in Perth?
It depends on the length of roofline, the height of the house and the access needed, whether guttering and downpipes are being replaced too, and the colour and finish you choose. We measure up at a free survey and give you a written quote, with no deposit to pay.
Why choose uPVC instead of timber?
uPVC does not rot, warp or flake, and it never needs painting. Timber looks good when new but needs regular painting and repairs in Scottish weather.
What is the difference between fascias and soffits?
The fascia is the vertical board along the roof edge that supports the bottom row of tiles and the gutters. The soffit is the horizontal board underneath that closes off the eaves.
Do I need vented soffits?
Some roofs need ventilation at the eaves to stop condensation building up in the roof space. We check this at the survey and recommend solid or vented soffits to suit your roof.
Should I replace my guttering at the same time?
Usually, yes. Gutters are fixed to the fascia, so replacing them together saves taking them down twice and gives a matching finish.
What colours are available?
uPVC roofline comes in white and a range of colours and finishes. We can help you match it to your windows and doors.
Do you charge a deposit?
No. We never ask for money upfront. You pay once the work is complete and you are happy with it.

From my first conversation with Jaime to arrange an appointment, to Ronnie providing the quote, and Jonny and Ben carrying out the work, I’m extremely happy with my decision to choose Speedy Roofing. They installed a lightweight roof in my conservatory, and I’m really pleased with the finished result. It has made a noticeable difference in keeping my home warmer and looks great!! The team even left the room cleaner than I left it, which was a great touch! I felt completely comfortable throughout the whole process, and Grant was always quick to respond to any questions I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and would highly recommend them to others.Posted on Google![]()

The workmanship was excellent and the transformation is incredible. The conservatory now feels like a real room that I can use all year round. Communication throughout the job was fantastic; I was kept updated at every stage and the team were always happy to answer any questions. Towards the end of last year Speedy roofing replaced my roof and my wife and I are delighted with the boys. We had a few quotes but Speedy really stood out from the start and they were able to show me lots of other work they had completed in Gourock. Grant kept us informed as the scaffold went up and skip was dropped off. Gary the roofer then arrived sharp daily and worked tirelessly until the work was complete. Really happy with the whole service and couldn’t recommend the whole team highly enough!Posted on Google![]()

We have recently had a full roof replacement completed by the team at Speedy Roofing and have been very pleased with everything from start to finish. Ronnie came out to carry out an initial inspection before drawing up a very competitive and detailed quote for us. The work commenced a week after we agreed to the quote and the communication leading up to this and throughout has been great. The team worked very efficiently to complete the full roof replacement in 7 working days and we have been very pleased with the finished result. Would highly recommend Speedy Roofing to anyone looking to get work done.Posted on Google![]()

What a fantastic Roofing company! Would 100% recommend them to anyone who asked. Had my roof replaced a few weeks ago after having several quotes from different companies. When Mark came out to provide the quote, I had a good feeling about the ethos of the company from the way he explained everything and the caring nature in which he really listened to my needs. The professionalism, care and attention to my needs were exquisite. My roof had been leaking for a few months and getting worse each day, therefore I was in desperate need of a quick job. The roof was replaced by Gary and his son who worked meticulously each day and were very courteous to me and my property. The scaffolding company where also fantastic, Gary and his team were friendly and accommodating. Finally, Grant from Speedy Roofing was very attentive and answered all my questions promptly and explained everything well. My neighbours have all commented on what a great job has been done. I am super pleased that I chose Speedy Roofing to keep a roof over my head!
