Our Solution

To ensure safe and efficient access, we installed full scaffolding around the property. Skip hire was arranged and managed throughout the works to allow safe removal and responsible disposal of all waste materials. We carefully stripped and removed the existing roof tiles, battens, and felt system, exposing the underlying structure. All internal plywood decking was removed and replaced with new 9mm Sterling board, creating a robust and reliable foundation for the new roof covering. A high-performance Marley breathable membrane was installed to provide superior water resistance while allowing controlled ventilation through the roof structure. Eaves support trays were fitted to prevent membrane sagging and ensure proper drainage into the guttering system. To strengthen the roof structure and improve airflow, we installed treated timber counter battens followed by treated timber tile battens, forming a durable framework for the new tiles. The roof was then completed using Marley roof tiles selected by the client, including vented tiles to improve roof ventilation and reduce condensation risk. For a secure and maintenance-free finish, we installed a modern dry verge and dry ridge system. This mechanically fixed system eliminates the need for traditional mortar bedding, providing enhanced wind resistance and long-term durability. Upon completion, the site was thoroughly cleared, leaving the property clean and tidy.
