We’re delighted to announce that Speedy Roofing has been named Scotland’s Best Roofing Contractor 2026 at the Scottish Home Improvement Awards.
The award was presented at the Gala Final on Friday 18 September 2026. It’s a proud moment for everyone at Speedy Roofing, from the roofers on site every day to the team in our Blantyre office.
For a family-run business that started out in Blantyre, being recognised as the best roofing contractor in the country means a great deal. But it’s really a reflection of the homeowners who trusted us with their roofs and took the time to vote for us.
About the Scottish Home Improvement Awards
The Scottish Home Improvement Awards celebrate the best businesses in Scotland’s home improvement industry, across 28 categories from roofing and plumbing to customer service.
Winning isn’t a case of simply putting your name forward. There are two stages:
- Public vote. Customers and the public vote for the companies they rate. Only the top-voted businesses in each category reach the Gala Final.
- Independent judging. An independent judging panel then reviews and scores each finalist against set criteria.
That means this award was decided by the people who matter most: our customers, backed by an independent panel.
From finalist to winner
This win means even more because of last year. In 2025, we reached the final in this same category and finished as runners-up. We took that as motivation, kept raising our standards, and this year we brought the trophy home to Blantyre.
Why customers voted us Scotland’s best roofing contractor
We’ve always believed great roofing comes down to doing the simple things properly, every single time. Here’s what our customers tell us makes the difference:
- 20+ years’ experience roofing homes across Glasgow and Central Scotland.
- A 20-year guarantee on roof and conservatory roof replacements, and a 10-year guarantee on flat roofs.
- No upfront deposit, free no-obligation quotes and flexible roofing finance.
- Clear, honest pricing. The price we quote is the price you pay.
- Most roof replacements finished in 7 to 10 working days, with the site left clean and tidy.
- Great communication from start to finish, from your first call to the final walkthrough.
- NFRC accredited and fully insured.
It’s why we hold a 9.9/10 rating on Checkatrade and 4.8 stars on Google. You can read what homeowners say in our customer reviews. As one customer, Alasdair Dean, put it: “The team worked very efficiently to complete the full roof replacement in 7 working days.”
Thank you
First, a huge thank you to every customer who voted for us. Awards like this are only possible because you took the time to back a local business, and we don’t take that lightly.
Thank you to our team, too. Our roofers on site, our surveyors, and everyone in the office who answers your calls and keeps your job on track. This award belongs to all of them.
And thank you to Paramount Events and the Scottish Home Improvement Awards for organising such a brilliant night, and congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners.
